Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Public Relations & Communication

Support the Public Relations team in planning, coordinating, and executing external communications such as press releases and blogs.

Respond and monitor public relations inquiries and manage the public relations inbox, assisting members and the public with requests.

Continue to gain knowledge of DAR and membership guidelines.

Content and Website Management
-
Update and maintain DAR.org webpages and downloadable forms in coordination with internal departments, national leadership and society committees.

Manage content within Drupal to support website functionality and works with external vendor for new features and redesigns.

Perform content updates for DAR event calendars and member announcements

Assist in the creation of publicity materials, video production, and photography for DAR’s initiatives.

Social Media and Marketing
-
Manage and maintain the Today’s DAR blog, coordinating, copy-editing, and publishing posts.

Draft, proofread, edit, and schedule blog posts, social media updates, and email blasts for DAR members.

Track website, social media, blog, and email analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Monitor social channels to support inquiry requests and customer service.
